Sarah King

Sarah King is a historian of the US in the 20th century. Her research and teaching focus on popular culture, activism, and the Vietnam War. Her current book manuscript explores the revival of left-wing celebrity activism in the civil rights and antiwar movements of the 1960s and 1970s. Sarah is an Associate Professor of History at the University of South Carolina Aiken. She holds a PhD from Binghamton University and has taught at Binghamton, as well as SUNY Geneseo, The College at Brockport, and Alfred University. Sarah also served as Managing Editor for the Journal of Women’s History. She is co-founder, a co-editor, and a regular contributor at Clio and the Contemporary.
