I am a historian of the modern United States with a focus on political, legal, and educational history. I am a PhD candidate at Purdue University. My dissertation, Grove City College v. Bell (1984): Conservative Education on Trial, and the Legacy of J. Howard Pew, broadly examines federal regulation of private higher education through Title IX. I have taught the second half of the United States History survey and am developing a course about the history of United States National Parks. I have also published at Public Seminar and History News Network.
