I received a Ph.D. in History from SUNY Buffalo in 1997 and started publishing up a storm but no history department would hire me, so I started teaching business, economics, and political economy instead, at universities like Temple and Virginia, and NYU's Stern School of Business. I am now a policy historian at the American Institute for Economic Research and the (co)author of 24 books.
