Angus McLeod is an historian of American education and a doctoral candidate at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the inaugural Berkowitz Fellow in the History of Education, a joint doctoral fellowship between the Graduate School of Education and the History Department at Penn. His dissertation tells the long history of Texas’ school finance system from Spain to the present. He has presented at several academic conferences in history, education, and policy. Before graduate school, Angus taught for four years and was a member of Teach For America. He received a BA in Plan II, History and International Relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
