Matthew P. Thornburg is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of South Carolina Aiken, as well as Director of the USC Aiken Social Sciences and Business Research Lab. He specializes in American elections and voter behavior and is currently working on several projects relating to crossover voting in primary elections. He teaches courses on topics as varied as statistics, conspiracy theories, political psychology and law. He also co-coaches USC Aiken's mock trial team.
